About Alex...

Alex Pennini is the kind of guy who will take an huge detour to avoid an awkward conversation. He didn't know how to mix cordial until he was eighteen and found out the hard way - the hard way being drinking two glasses of pineapple cordial mixture straight. He once set an oven crossaint on fire, accidentally stood on his own hand once and despite all this has managed to survive any major disaster.

But when he's not making a fool of himself across his hometown of Melbourne, he's writing away at a novel. He hopes it'll be half-decent, if not brilliant, although it'll take some time to finish it

Alex has served as a judge on the Future Leaders Writing Prize since 2013, worked as intern/volunteer reader for The Canary Press, read for the Readings Hope Prize and currently serves as the Grants Manager for the Visible Ink Literary Anthology.
